If you suffer from (mild or severe) insomnia, you have already been counting the sheep, drinking a variety of sleeping teas, turning off all lights and electronic devices, and your sleep is still running away. This technique may help.

An American scientist claims he has developed a way to beat insomnia and fall asleep in just 60 seconds - without medicines, supplements, or any equipment.

Dr. Andrew Weil calls this technique, based on ancient joga breathing, 4-7-8 and describes it as a "natural calming remedy" that helps reduce stress and can, after you train and perfect it, "have an incredible effect on anxiety sufferers".

In his YouTube video, he claims that the technique is "completely simple, requires almost no time, no equipment, and can be performed anywhere in any position“.

However, if you perform it while sitting, it is best to sit with flat feet on the floor. Regardless of the position, your tongue should be on the palate (touch the tip of the palate immediately behind the front teeth) throughout the exercise.

You can perform it in three simple steps:

  1. Breath deeply through your nose for 4 seconds
  2. Hold your breath for 7 sec
  3. Exhale through the mouth for 8 sec .

The exercise is repeated 4 times (4 cycles, and no more than that).

If you practice this technique twice a day, Dr. Weil claims that you should overcome it in six to eight weeks so well enough to fall asleep in just 60 seconds.

Why not try, tonight, after tucking in to your family.hr bedding?
